Tour de Tablelands update
Stage 4 Criterium
The criteruim for this tour is one of the hardest
street circuits around.
This stage can usually make or break some riders tour hopes
and it did not dissapoint. The feild was under constant attack for
the whole stage then with 5 mins to go Chris Roche launched
the race winning move.He powered away froma very tired main feild
with the dixon homes in there with numbers was always goin to work
in our favour havin Chris away Chris soloed to victory and to
makes things better Kyle Marwood hit the bunch up the back straight
to get a Dixon Homes 1,2 .
Stage 3 44KM Road Stage
As they say as the flag drops the all the talk
stops and once again the race was off to a very fast start
with the feild puttin the hammer down very early on.Ev
Corry and Kyle Marwood got nice gap and were joined by drapac rider
Grant Irwin this put the merida broncos team on the defensive
but they road hard and bought it back together until Miles Olman
from Drapac
got away and had Adam Cashman in tow and they were not to be caught
with Adam coming in second place. Was a happier start to the day for
Dixon Homes.
Stage 2 Time trial
The short 4km time trail is always a very hard ride
due to the wind that belts the course up the home straight and once
again it didnt let us down.Kyle Marwood our NQ Games time trial
champion was pumped for big ride and placed 4th only 4 seconds down
on the days winner. All our other general classification riders were
also placed well still in position to make up for stage 1 revenge.
Stage 1
Race one for the weekend got under way after small
delay and havin the A Grade feild halved so only a fairly small
feild full of good riders were underway. The hammer went down from
the gun and speeds of 80km/hr were reached 5 km into the race
.Attacks were launched one after the other and the feild was
on the back foot a group of 4 riders got a gap and unfortunately
were were not represented and they got solid gap Dixon homes boys
tried to real them in but to no avail so the break rode away till
the finish with a 1.30 gap.Harry Rassie Chris Roche and Adam Cashman
finish in the next group.Other team memebers didnt have the best day
but always tomorrow.Next stage is the time trial .
